  • Hang in there Shawn - I can assure you it could be a lot worse and I am not taking the piss mate.

    • Thanks I am sure it can be worse. I made it through a heart attack. Lost 38kg and doing great personally.

      •  S McCabe : I have had heart problems this year also. My advice is don`t watch the Eels live on TV. That will get you free of any stress. If they win, watch it on replay. It is still enjoyable. I have broken my own rule tonight. I watched the first half but I am not watching the second half---I feel the Eels play better when I am not watching them??!! If they lose I don`t watch the replay.

        • Cooke should of been sent off when you watch it. But he won it for them what a cheat.

  • Hope the Eels win it for yourself, and all the pain ridden Eels supporters out there

    • We need it.

  • And to finish it off. Cooke with a blatant foul does not get ten in the bin. And he wins the game after that. Fuck 2020.

  • Shawn, if you need to vent to stay on top of things then you go for it, the mob on here are a pretty decent lot and will give you support where they can.

Shame our Bush Coach let you down tho. lol

  • Sorry to hear Shawn. My condolences go out you and your family.

"He went for Perth job. Talk was he was looking at GC job but no word on Knights job (could be wrong) i wonder with Matt being there and AOB being a mate he didn't want to take his spot."

"You'd think there are ratchet clauses & what not that. Iongi has a great attitude & is talented. Good R&R work. Hopefully, Ryley Smith extends long-term too. He's been upgraded to an NRL contract this year (goes on our cap, not a free lunch)."

"Think he's just really comfortable at the club and has finally broken into the nrl. Seems happy to be an eel so probably an easy call for him. Doesn't seem like he wants to stuff around with contract disputes or anything like that. "

"I think some underestimated the importance of that player survey as mentioned in the other blog. This is where having the right kind of environment comes in handy - once players are here they just want to stay."

"yes I saw it LB but reckon it is media hype as it also said Brad would have plenty of options if he decided to return to the NRL and we all know he hasn't as he tried and would already be in the NRL as a coach if he did."

"Be interesting to see how much they have ponied up for Iongi.
400 he was on I suspect a healthy increase would be on the cards here.
5 years is a commitment and a good extension by the club he's definitely someone we want to build around."

"Well getting Koloamatangi helps. In terms of backs it seems Ryles values a low to mid tier salary Winger. If he is paying good price for one he won't the other so just get a Winger who can do a job either starting or depth wise.

ANY MORE SIGNINGS???

I've been frustrated recently about the work we have been doing in the open market. Jonah's alright for a year and JDB is solid but he's getting old. I feel we need more in the forwards and some a replacement outside back. All I have seen is links…
