Well here I am sick of the $1400 quarterly electricity bills, I've decided to look into installing solar panels, but where tf do I start? Can anyone recommend a solar company? Installer?
What should I look for in solar panels and inverter? Too many questions and soooo confusing. Heard some nasty stories back in the day of house being burnt down from them.
Help out a fellow eels supporter please.

I have had Solar Panels on my home now for 2 years best thing i've ever installed. Summer quartly bills were $1400-1600, down to $200-400 in summer.
Trick i do is do the dishwashing, washing and other things that use up a bit of energy in the day time so you are not using the stored energy instead the energy gained from the sun so what you use gets replaced so to speak if that makes sense.
Solar costs a bit to install but is worth it, plus what ever watts you do not use you can sell back to your energy provider, it is not alot but better than nothing.
What did you have installed... Size kw? Cost? Types of panels and inverter? Company you went thru? Did u add a battery?
No. DO NOT add a battery.
The cost plus maintenance is not worth it.
Much better off selling unused power generated back to the grid.
Or use a solar diverter to send unused power to the hot water system. There are a number of different diverters and you can even get solar powered heat pumps that use excess electricity.
Feed in Tarrfis have dropped big time in last year.
You can even get diverters to use excess power on air conditioners.
Wtf are you guys doing to run up such big power bills, running a hydroponic set up. '😁
Lol I wish at least then I'd be making money from it.
two storey house, ducted a/c, pool motor, 6 occupants and basically whole house running on electricity.
Is evicting the kids an option?
The wife maybe as well?
If China has taught the world anything is that it is never to early for kids to get a job, chip in and pay their share
Spot mine is never over $250 quarter
Start by turning off every appliance in your house from the power point, only turn it on when you need to use it.
