"Guymer is that back-row 18th sitting there in case Tuilagi or Kautoga go down but Williams can move there too if needed.
I think we see Walker, Tuivaiti, Doorey and Da Silva as the rotation."

"That is exactly what he is looking at. He saw that first 25 and as soon as our middles rotated we looked so much better. He wants that fast start and Williams he may feel gives us that better chance."

"Or maybe Ryles prefers to have a hard running Lock. But Williams played Lock a fair bit at Cronulla. But Paulo ball plays anyway in the middle so doesn't really matter."

"Don't be surprised if it's jnr paulo that plays that ball distributer role, he was fantastic doing it for Samoa last year."

"Hopefully JDB is giving our young forwards some value off the field, cause I don't think he'll see much game time unless we get injuries.
With the speed of the game and the six-again-palooza that's happening this season age is going to be a bigger…"

"Both Hopgoode (vs Storm) and Doorey (trials, Broncos game) have played the middle ball distributor role. I've yet to see Williams play it at Eels. I suspect a switcharoo"

"Stats across Round 1-2 show DeBellin missing just one tackle per game from 40+ attempts. But few runs or passes. Let's grant that Tuilagi's excellent game against the Broncos probably forcing himself into the team.
Does DeBellin to the extended…"

"It shows Ryles is not afraid to move on if not working. Kelly down the pecking order with Samrani preferred now De Belin."

"Has Williams actually played lock before? Will there be a switcharoo and Hopgoode plays lock and Williams prop?"

"JDB has been disappointing so far. Not really making an impact with his defence, in fact getting dominated in the early exchanges. The Eels have the option in their favour for 2027? I can't see them renewing it at this stage."
