Danger money now being accepted.

With Scomo insisting schools stay open, I'm now taking donations of danger money having to be locked into a confined space with these school students.

  • I'd drop some cash into your account magpie, but I'd rather give it to nurses or doctors being exposed everyday, or maybe the centrelink workers being inundated with now unemployed people.

  • Stay safe Maggie, schools should be closed asap, not like the students will miss much :)

  • Jesus wept. Do teachers ever NOT whinge about their jobs?

News flash: Unless you're working outside there's a pretty fuckin' good chance you're working in a confined space with other human beings. Most people are just getting on with it and making the best of a terrible situation.

Maybe teachers should just be greatful they still have employment - there are plenty of very scared punters out there who would swap places with them in a heartbeat.

    • I've got 300 people at my work , there's no social distancing going on there.some people's homes are separated by over 200kms that work there.

blokes come in everyday withy runny noses and sore throats but with the threat of lockdown basically keep it to themselves. I don't blame them you need to provide for your family.

its only a matter of time under these conditions that a large portion of us here contract the virus and take it home to our families. We took our kids out of school two weeks ago , my wife has them at home so if we get the virus it'll be because of me.Thats a sobering thought.

    • I'd like the record to reflect ( to be used against me at a later date when I do whinge:) ) that I like my job, I'm remunerated fairly for my work, and I get great hours and holidays!

There ya go, now you can have a crack at me for being a smug bastard, instead of a whinger.

      Stay safe.

      • This blog was a very bad, extremely dumb error of judgement mate. You don't put shit like that up in light of people queueing up outside Centrelink - people that would normally be at work right now. I can't understand how you would think that is kosher at the moment.

You whacked a smiley simbol in your response to me - you should have done that with your original post, or a wink or something if you were just mucking around.

Sorry if I sound like I'm preaching but, Christ, if someone doesn't get that this blog is going to draw heat there's something amiss with their thought process or grip on reality.

        • Yer I know mate, I've already apologised twice in the blog. Perhaps super could close it?

          We all have brainfarts occasionally.

          • Cheers mate - sorry if I went off early - people's satire receptors are all fucked up at the moment.

All the very best to you and yours brother - stay safe :)

    • What do you mean? Parents are exposed to one or two kids, teachers can be exposed to up to 30.

I know teachers who are parents. They are doing what the government has told them and keeping their kids home, providing remote learning and not being paid. So how is that fair?

"Sure it's good news but isn't it merely a baseline for our R&R to re-sign our own players like this? It's not as if Guymer is rep level, he's not even top 17. Yet this is being sold like we just signed Payne Haas. Well done to R&R for doing the bare…"

"Good but he ain't winning us a comp.
Misses too many first contact tackles. Probably trying to hit too hard rather than be effective.
Averages 4 missed tackles and 2 ineffective tackles per game so far this year."

"Excellent, if he develops further he will be our future Lock and captain.
I was worried due to limited playing time he would look elsewhere. "
