Best VPNs ?

I know zero about VPNs or how to run one on my TVs , we have a couple of smart TVs ,   A non smart TV and a projector in the theatre room running of a internet enabled receiver . In some rooms we are running Fetch boxes and in other rooms we have Kodi boxes which we haven’t used in about 12+ months as streaming became a pain in the arse due to links becoming almost unusable .

I’m thinking the Kodi boxes with the NETFLIX apps installed would be the way to go ?

Happy to pay a premium for a hassle free and consistent VPN .

  • In my business long ago, I used to use a Netgear VPN Router from the server at work which connected through the Telstra cable to the internet and onwards to my home 140ks away where it connected via copper line ADSL and synced up to another Netgear VPN Router.

I was able to be online (live) with my server which gave me constant full access to the accounts system, sales system, delivery system, service call systems, etc and I even had a VOIP going and a direct copper telephone linkup via Testra which allowed me to connect with our office phone system like another telephone extension at work. It was great - more time with family and kids, better social life and I was able to maintain all the most important stuff that brought in all the big money for my business.

Obviously, this is not what you want to do BUT, you really need to talk to your internet providers tech department and with a cable specialist who should be able to set up a Pro VPN internally in your home. Even contacting Netgear in Australia should be very helpfull considering they are one of the original pioneers of VPN.

    • Thanks Frog . If it’s set up on your modem ( or router ) can you still change countries when you need to ?

      • Is the VPN you are seeking for privacy over the net? If yes, you need to look at using a browser like Opera that comes with a free vpn. Otherwise checjk out NordVPN which might be the very best VPN currently in the market - with a three year plan it cost $2.99 p/m. Securing your data with strong encryption comes with a slight decrease in internet speed. But it’s the very nature of encryption! Websites you’re visiting, videos you’re watching, GIFs you’re laughing at – all online data has to be scrambled to protect your internet activity from prying eyes. NordVPN users enjoy encryption-powered security with minimum impact on their internet speed, so you will hardly notice the difference!

          • I too would reccomend Nord, tried 1-2 other paid VPN's before Nord, and some I used for less than a week before paying for another one. The times I have had issues with Nord, I disconnect and reconnect and problem solved, this typically only occurs occasionally if I stay connected to the same VPN for a couple weeks (my PC stays on).

            • This reply was deleted.
              • Speaking for Nord I am not aware of any compatibility issues, so should work with Norton, but I would imagine most VPN software would.

In Nord you just click on the country you want to connect to, and it is then connected in that country 10-15 seconds later. This will allow you to access UK BBC content, or any other country blocked content.  Also of note Netflix has a greater content library if you connect as US rather than Australia, which I belive is to do with Foxtel having rights to stuff in Australia so Netflix cant show this content in Aus.

              • It's a matter of selecting the country and trying out different ip addresses to see if you can get in or not - some you may still need to register as a user/member/etc before finding out if you can access whatever you are searching for.

As for NRL, we still use Vipbox (full of pop up screens with crap adds and sometimes partial nudity) and you have to keep clicking on the x and then keep clicking on the game you want to watch and then select Box 2 or Box 3 to stream the game. Only do this process a minute or so before the game commences  https://vipbox.im/watch-rugby

Vipbox - Enjoy live Rugby streams including Super Rugby, Tri-nations, Six Nations, France Top 14 and more. Watch NRL , Super 15 rugby stream online.

                  • The darkness people fight for to maintain their spoon fed lives locked inside cells of deep multi-layered bullshit (trauma/destructive e-motions) just staggers me. The vaccination thread I put up less than an hour ago and since taken down, just shows how deeply confused, misguided and lost our brothers and sisters really are out there. The doubt, uncertainty, confusion, distrust, complacency, apathy, denial and fear rules them in spite of them thinking it doesn't and that they are on the true/correct path.... WOWWWWwwwwww The blind leading the blind.

This was going to be my lost post to this thread but it was taken down......

While you live your lives being spoon fed for everything, you will never have any real sense/truth of what it is to live lives without being spoon fed. I really know the difference here because I've been walking this talk intensely 24/7 since 2006 and I've willingly used my body as a guinea pig to test both Life (raw-living-food-diet) and Death (anything not raw-natural etc), and I now know for sure which one works and which one doesn't work. I went both ways twice and the dead approach being the last one i've been testing since 2016

You can go on blaming others for your misguidance and protection of the distorted lives you still live by, but LIFE is the ONLY REMEDY and there is a big picture to be gleaned from this, which can't be done while your anchored in ALL "The System" bullshit you have been spoon fed with since you appeared in the womb.

                    • Any thread that even remotely resembles a debatable adult topic is deleted by Mr Censorship .  Once upon a time Phil prided himself on the sites relaxed laws compared to joints like League Unlimited around the debate of non footy topics .

I thought given the new structure with the social section maybe we’d be back to being able to have these discussions , but since they’re still being wiped by the social justice wanker it seems the template is still the same .   Considering the new layout is dogshit and almost impossible to enjoy you’d think Phil would be encouraging any kind of topic that drives clicks possible.

Such a miserable and grim place these days . Super is like the sites Yoko Ono . And is probably a massive anti vaxer who doesn’t wan to hear why he’s endangerig us all .
