Zip Zip Man 60 today

Brett Kenny will always be my favorite Eel but there is always something special about the Zip Zip Man.... Compared to the Beatles Kenny was Lennon and Ella was Harrison...... This may sound silly but just wanted to remember him today.

  • Brilliant player, great gentleman who played with virtue and always in the spirit of the game. If you needed support in open play he'd be running right behind you.

  • Great combo With Cronin

    • The best, big man... small man combination.

  • Ella brothers changed Union forever and ZipZip was exceptional for Parra

    Beetles comparison spot on!

  • Talk about support play and perfect positioning.

  • Great blog mate - Happy Birthday Zipper!!

There was just something about The ZipZip Man - such a joy to watch.

Love the Lennon/ Harrison analogy. Lennon's immortal yet George gave us "Something" and "Here Comes The Sun" I'm not sure greater melodies have ever been written. Just like Bert and Zipzip: Kenny gave us a huge body of work but Zipper gave us some unforgettable gems as well :))

Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
