Zac Lomax Rumours

Just rumours at this stage. Anyone else heard about this?

on $800k at dragons, we could get him get him for $550k? He is not happy to be shifted to wing this year

would you be happy with this signing if it happened this year?

  • and play him at centre? i wouldnt be opposed to it, can also play full back i guess.

  • God i hope we don't sign him. He's a child having a tantrum when things don't go his way. He loves a flick pass and then gets shitty at the winger for not catching it. I mean honestly, just pass the ball normally

  • For the right price, would love it.

He has untapped potential & feel BA would get the best out of his attitude.

He also gives us a NRL ready replacement if Gutho gets injured - something we simply don't have.

I know a lot don't rate him, or his attitude / ego, but with our outside back depth, and him probably needing a change in environment, it could be game-changing & worth every risk.

    • Over priced. Over rated.

  • In a heartbeat for 550k. He is better and faster than what we have currently in centres, let alone what's coming through in reserve grade. Kicks goals, cover for Gutho. Massive upgrade on what we currently have

    • He is not faster then what we have. Pretty slow for a back. Flanno does not rate him.

In one of his first moves after joining the club, Flanagan sat Lomax down and showed him that statistically he is only the “22nd or 23rd” best centre in the NRL.

  • I said a few years back when we had our recruitment woes we should have targeted Lomax and Tarpine. I would still take Lomax as I think he has plenty of talent for the right price. He has not been happy at the Dragons for ages. New environment and new approach could assist him and us.

  • Yes, he's a very good centre. Not sure why he was shifted to wing. He'd be a great get.

  •  he needs a more structured coach, then think he could be a weapon. too many errors in his game.

Think BA has shown he can get more out of players, so maybe a good buy

    • Flanagan is structured to be fair. Though BA has that knack of as you say getting the most out of players to buy in.
