The biggest reason Qld have had the wood on NSW for a couple of decades is their respective kicking games.
Qld will have the quality kicking game of DCE and Ben Hunt who are outstanding with Harry Grant, Reece Walsh as well as Dearden chiming in with attacking kicks.
NSW have opted for the improving kicking game of Hynes, the bog average Luai and instead of Api from dummy half who id say is the better kicker out of the three they've opted for Reece Robinson.
It does my head in year after year, NSW will pick Cleary and a partnering half who's got an ordinary kicking game.
Qld rush out of the line at Cleary all night rendering his own kicking game average which effects the rest of his game and Qld sneak home.
Instead of understanding what the difference is NSW do it again and again.

Yeah the ten is poorly refereed in state of origin on the basis of "letting the teams decide the game" without the ref interfering.
