Whos going to win the comp? Your mid season prediction gents?

I think it will be Penrith, they will play the Storm and beat them comfortably on the back of their halves.

Some people are talking the storm up but im not buying it, the Panthers are the real deal this time.

Having said that, go the eels! id give us a punchers chance in the finals, but we gonna need a lot of things to go our way to beat a team like the panthers on the big day.

  • Just to be different I reckon Rabbits can upset the Panfas.

  • Almost certainly will be the Panthers vs Storm. However I'm not sure, on the day that the Panthers would prevail. There's a struck match between those sides when they're both on.
I see too many fundamental issues with the Eels. They need everything to go their way to win games. They play with a plan to enable that but some days that simply doesn't happen. We'd need a rails run, a bunch of luck and zero injuries to make the GF let alone win the whole thing. Perhaps a young unknown like Penisini to catch fire.
We'll play finals but probably won't get past week 2 again.

    • I think we'll get to Week 3 this year.

    • As much as it pains me to say... I think Trbo will eclipse Hayne's "09 season this year. If he stays healthy this is a possibility of happening. I think the Panthers will beat them if they make it to the GF though.

  • Penrith vs Storm. All depends if the Storm spine can stay fit because they keep getting injured. If they can get a good injury-free run, Storm will win.

  • Penrith Vs Storm in the GF.

The Storm are not the same under pressure without Cam Smith and Penrith have the best halves combination in the Comp. So assuming both sides are full strength, I expect the Panthers to win and win well.

  • I think at this stage it looks like a Penrith premiership and the only thing that could stop them would be injuries to key players. Probably a Penrith vs Storm grand final although the dark horse could be Manly bar injury. Can't see the Eels getting past week 1 of the finals.

  • Storm Penrith grand final, and will be a tough game.

Storm win and Papa Clive Churchill winner

Eels are along way of GF material.
