Your Ideas For Halves

Let's gather our thoughts for solutions on one blog.No need to vent about our two last night on this one. We've done plenty on other blogs.I'm putting a line through both last night. At the same time I'm acknowledging that cap/player availability/common sense might mean one stays. I only say common sense because it may also be suicide to have two new and inexperienced halves together in the next match.I went with two new halves in a moment of desperation.Peats to partner Taka or Seffa.Nelson or IDG to dummy half.Of course I'm having a knee jerk, get rid of them, reaction to our halves. That's why I'm a fan and not a coach.Common sense would probably say to not make too many additional changes when injuries will probably create enough selection headaches on their own. What would you do?

  • Isn't Matterson in the top 25? Time for an initiation of fire. Nothing to lose. The experience will be invaluable.
    • Agreed. Peats and Matterson is my pick given the current state of play.
  • Matterson 6. Funny how all of a sudden nobody rates him after being touted as one of our best juniors in decades.
Give him a fekkin chance Arthur.
    • Chief, his complete indecisiveness in the halves for Wenty is a worry this year. I had a huge wrap on him last year. Not sure what's happened this year.
    • Nothing has changed.
He needs to play on the big stage.
His running game alone is more than enough to oust Kelly.
  • Peats. Has the skills to play in the halves if need be. Not sure bout his kicking game though.
  • Options are assuming sandow stays
    Sandow kelly
    Kelly/sandow paulo
    Sandow takka
    Kelly takka
    Kelly/sandow matterson
    Sandow/Kelly Henry

    Other less likely halves options
    IDG
    Peats
    Nelson
    • It might be that the two halves remain. It might be the most common sense approach, but it's hard to wear today. With selections it always comes down to who would do a better job.
    • Yep ideally considering the salary cap issues if we can off load sandow without paying him we will have soace to bllld a young player or two
  • ZDC and Matterson.
Probably impossible to have both due to the cap though.
