Your game day superstitions?

do you have any game day superstitions?

if i cant make it to the game, i refuse to watch the eels live on tv. Its too stressful.

id prefer to just get score updates online and feel if i watch the eels live on tv, i jinx us

last week, i was getting updates and we were up at halftime

I then stupidly chose to watch the second half live on tv and we got pumped

I’ll probably head out to brookie today but if i dont, i promise i will not watch the game live

does anyone else have game day superstitions?

  • Thank fek for that, im sure it makes all the difference.

  • Not really a superstition but I find myself a borderline alcoholic on game days these days. I can’t watch the games sober anymore it’s just too nerve racking especially now that even getting ahead by 2 or 3 tries doesn’t guarantee a win.
  • everytime I put on my parra  jersey to watch the game on telly they lose uncanny how many times its happened

  • I put on a eels shirt or jersey or shorts something when watching on tv. At games jeans and jersey/hoodie as long as its clearly showing the ee ls logo
  • A game day bat is an absolute must.

It's always best to get to the kick off relaxed and with a clear, focused mind.

    • Thats the only way.
  • The very first tackle we are in possession. If we drive through the first tackle and make even the slightest amount of territory we normally win. If we are driven back in the first tackle we lose.

  • I think I'm the biggest Parramatta jinx in the Southern Hemisphere. That is based on the fact that when Parramatta were playing in their very first Grand Final against Newtown,my two sons banished me out to the backyard. I could hear them yelling and yahooing from my seat on the back stairs. I had the gall to show my face just before half time, bad move. I was allowed in once the final hooter went. I eventually saw the replay, albeit at a later date but that was OK. I think I'll sit this one out. I want the boys to win today, and for the rest of the season for that matter, so I'll read a book and hope for the best.
  • Today it's lots of cold beer

"Same, Kurupt. Whatever the outcome, Jim, Beach, Ryles and the club stood united and stood their ground when they were meant to roll over for the Storm and PLV, discreetly. Moses SC has also been brilliant."
