Your advice to BA and PLAYERS ‼‼‼

With such an important game coming up ,I thought we could do a blog on what advice you would give to the players ? Newcastle will be extremely hard to beat at home. They have the crowd which we need to silence, they are playing for Wade McKinnon , They have nothing to lose and are out to destroy teams hopes. This is such a DANGER GAME .

Our team has more than achieved what we were wishing for so far in 2014, no spoon and several games we were robbed which puts us into this position. It is do or die , turn up for 80mins or start packing for a camping trip.

What advice would you give the team ?What message do you want to send them ?

I would have BA simply ask each player to be totally honest this week , ask each player do they have it in them to perform for 80mins and not let the rest of the team down ?

This seems simple but he needs to know that each player will give their all and are in best physical condition.

Do you want a player eg hoppa playing at 70% ? I seriously doubt it, This is a week where BA needs honesty and confidence from each and every player.

The Eels are riding high and the Knights have upset 3 top sides recently. They can score points quickly. I wish our Eels all the best and I will be as loud as anyone on the day hoping for victory.

Our team has restored pride in our jersey, they brought back the spark and energy into the crowd. This game is payback for the 2001 GF. They have no Joey and we have a Semi and a Hayne just itching for victory and glory.

Go EELS, and I hope every single player lifts and gives their very best for 80mins.

I reckon the club should copy the Cowboys idea and stay at Newy for a couple of days before the match, and especially xo it for the Raiders match, get used to the cold

Continue to be patient and keep attacking the opposition in defence. That was the key against Manly. We haven't done those 2 things in a long time.

My main concern this year and message to players would be when defending on your own line get up in there face, line speed in defense when the opposition is in scoring distance is critical. Mark up on your man and put a shot on someone with or without the ball and make the tackle stick. Dont get caught flat footed or they will go over the top of you. Agree with Nidge ^

remember Round 16, 2014......there is not to be any complacency. we need to go head to head in the forwards, that is where this game will be won. if they get over the top of us their centres will carve us up.
