  • Surprised Guymer was not added to top 30, but anyway good deals either way. Richie would have debuted this year had he not torn his ACL. More likely getting the games Jake Tago did. So if anything, Tago must be singing the praises of that torn ACL.

Pryke do not know much about but seems a goer.

    • Guymer and Richard both top 30 next year

      • Nah it is top 30 in 2026. Would think Guymer has earned himself a top 30 deal from 2025 with his performances in cup and nrl this year.

        • That is exactly what i thought. I honestly thought Guymer would get top 30 this year and 2027 also.

Lot has changed since I have written this blog but I did predict a Richie and Pryke development deal. However, I thought Guymer would be top 30.

If you had control of the Roster Management ...
If you had control, how would your top 30 shape up next year. Give yourself some freedom and make bold choices. You do not have to be completely real…
  • I don't like guaranteed top 30 spots a few years down the track for these guys. It has failed multiple times in recent years and there is a chance it will fail with these guys as well.

I know I'm being pessimistic, but jeez. It's like we're scared to lose these guys like Talagi and the Last Arthur.

    • No you're wrong. You are doubting Ryles as a coach and the vision in which he sees the club going forward

We lost the Arthur's because they won't amount to anything,  and Talagi is a 6, and that position opened up at another club.

    • Yeah good point Badger. Taumoepenu, Cini and Mataele are examples, none have played FG for us. Tuivaiti is next one this year to have same thing. I understand it in the sense of keeping money free for this year while keeping them happy with future security when they are not quite ready this year. But Guymer we know is not out of place for top 30.

      • Cini are you serious. Did nothing at the Tigers then spent 2 or three years in reserve grader here blocking pathways.  A typical signing for the previous coach

        • Yeah but he was guaranteed a top 30 spot and took one during his last season (maybe 2)
