Young Eel Mannah relishing taking on Cayless role

He may be the baby of an in-form Parramatta forward pack but the performances of Tim Mannah in his debut NRL season have proved he's very much an old head on young shoulders. Eels coach Daniel Anderson has used the 21-year-old mostly from the bench this season, but on Saturday he will be wearing the No.8 jersey usually filled by skipper Nathan Cayless as Parramatta look to record a fifth successive win when they take on the Warriors.... "It has been great for me playing and training alongside Nathan, he has been a bit of a mentor to me, always offering me advice, giving me tips and making me into a better player," Mannah said. "We are both sitting on a duck egg but there are four games to go to break it, the nudie is always in the back of the mind, but I am trying my best not to think about it - Nathan can do it alone!" • Hahaha thats hilarious imagine Mannah and Cayless on the back page holding their wangs on the 100m sprint haha
  • Apart from the importance of the aforementioned 'nudie run', I always enjoy reading these sorts of comments from our players.

Nathan Cayless, I would argue is one our most heavily criticised players - for being soft, for not making enough metres and not being as much of a 'talking captain' as many would like. Despite this, our Courageous Captain Caylo clearly has a crucial role in our team, that is mentoring and looking after the up and coming forwards. As one of our most experienced players, similar to Hindy, its clear that he is super important for our young guys.

So a big wrap for our Captain, and for Tim Mannah too. One of our most loyal players - who else wears Eels underpants?! :D
    • Ummm me *blushes*
  • I think these nudie runs should be televised on Parra TV, that would ensure the boys tried even harder to get over the line
    • lol very clever idea 1Eyed, you should take that idea straight to Osbourne..
    • Good idea 1eyed lol
Coming from a females view that would be good to see hahaha
  • Mannah is a great young player and as we all know props don't play their best until they have a few years behind them, so imagine what he could grow into, he will be an intergral part of our first 4 props next year with Cayless, The Wrecking BallBall and Poore
  • Mannah is not a shadow of a player or captain Cayless was.

How many players are lined up for the nudie run this year, Mannah, Lussick, Allgood, Tonga, Harrison, MK, Api, Pritchard, both Paulos, Maitua,

  • nah I'm not sold on Mannah he is an average prop and I don't think he has enough cu$t in him to be a real captain, yeah he is much like Cayless but I never really rated Cayless!
