You think the Eels have poor retention.

We often hear 1 eyed eels bloggers, complaining about the players Parra let go. Well I'd say we have nothing on the Tigers. I have compiled a team of  players who the Tigers have let go. (including this year). They are all still in the NRL, Superleague or playing Union. For fun, can you compile a list of former players from 1 club, who are yet to retire, that could beat this lot ?

1. James Tedesco - The games best player

2. Marica Koroibote - Best union winger in Australia

3. Esan Marsters - Up & coming centre has talent

4,  Moses Suli - Had a stella season for the Sea Eagles

5. Josh Addo Carr - Arguably the best winger in the game

6. Blake Austin - Won the Man of steel

7. Mitch Moses - Halfback of the year

8. Andrew Fafita - Did win the Sharks a premiership.

9. Jacob Miller - Probably the weakest position. Could have been Robbie

10. Martin Tapou - Enforcer

11. Curtis Sironen - Had a great year at Manly

12. Adam Blair - Enfourcer 2

13. Nathan Brown - Our best forward if not our best player

14. Ryan Papenhuyzen - Couldn’t make the 13, had to put him in somwhere.

15. Matt Lodge - Potential Origin player and possible Brisbane captain

16.Ryan Matterson- Tigers best player lthis year - gone.

17.Aaron Woods - Former origin player just makes the 17

18. Sauaso Sue - Could easily be in the 17

19. Ben Teo - Very handy back up.

  • Gotta say they f*cked up good.

  • I maintain that the Tigers problems are directly connected to having so many home grounds. They just don't have that anchor that they can reset every second weekend. It just weakens the club in virtually every area, including R&R. Playing half and half between Leichardt & Campbelltown is tough enough but manageable if their strategic about it, but 4 different grounds just dilutes their base too much.

  • add the coaches too.

  • They shouldn't have merged with Maggies. Yeah they won a priemership and done fuck all since.

    • It's the Magpies that are keeping the merge afloat, the Balmain side of the merge are broke, if they didn't merge they would not exist right now.

  • When Ben Teo is number 19 in your terrible losses you know you're fucked.

  • That squad would be top 3 in the league. Crazy stuff! Probably still finish 9th though.
