2017 Semi Final - we got rorted blatantly by the refs. Would anyone in Melbourne go to a game if the team was coming anywhere less than 8th?
You're right. The fact Bellemy is undisputedly the best coach in the NRL and in control of one of the best rosters has nothing to do with it. It's an unsaid backhanded directive from the NRL that's causing their success.
He is undisputedly the best coach in the comp because he has the best roster , more importantly he has had a spine you can throw any old niff nuff into the team and they’d look good . The influence that Cronk , Slater , Smith have had on the onfeild success was demonstrated in last years GF when Rorters virtually played a man down yet Cronks presence was able to change the Roosters whole game plan .
As for him having the best sqaud , he would’nt have had this super star team had he not have rorted the cap systematically. He would’ve lost a Smith , Cronk , Slater a long long time ago to Brisbane .
They have had so much love from the NRL over the years , it’s impossible for them not to be successful .

Wazzamatta, You are spot on. There is no consistansy from the NRL refs & bunker at all & when they make a call that nobody else agrees with it's just passed off as, Oh well it's in the history books now. That's it, There is no fixing anything you just have to live with it week in week out.
Rugby League used to be a hard hitting game that had the fans going wild for 80 minutes, Now the fans spend the following week trying to understand what happened on the weekend.
The salary cap has everyone wondering how it works because it is there to even up the comp, however we can all see some teams can fit in multiple million dollar players while the rest try to field a decent squd with the same money. Anyone that believes the roosters are operating in the cap are as naive as the NRL think we all are.
The NRL don't seem to be very transparant & why wouldn't they be with so much to hide.
