I don't know what to make of the report the Eels are on the hunt for an X-factor fullback. However, it wouldn't surprise me if there is some truth to it. Gutho has every attribute you could possibly want in a gun fullback, except one really important one - speed. He takes too long to accelerate. I've been saying it for a while now.
Just thought I would throw it out there. Why not swap D Brown and Gutho? We know Gutho is a handy 6 and decent front line defender because we have seen him there before. We also know D Brown has great acceleration, agile feet, and a strong running game. Why not give him the extra room to see if he can be our spark?
My only concern would be D Browns motor, but apparently he is pretty strong there too.

Gday mate glad you are asking this question.
Dont pay the report any attention.
It was a complete spin up, we want to sign players who can cover fullback, not replace Gutho.
Daine Laurie will most likely be the man we being in.
He is off contract, been told that the Tigers are not terribly interested in re signing him and he has been dropped. Any player at the tigers can't be judged on their current form either, the place is a complete shit show. Even Ice looks average.
Exactly Jed, a Centre we have been chasing for a while. A Centre that could turn into a Fullback is a priority, hence why we looked at Farnworth and Allan. Schoupp was another though not sure if he would ever be considered a Fullback.
I hope not Laurie, i'd rather Jayden Campbell.
I think we want Laurie. I think he is our man and I'd say it's probably been swirling for some time. I'd also say that Matto could play the whole year on an edge.
I think Asi is our centre, why else would we not take Momirovski? He asked for a release shortly after we sent them NBrown
Don't forget that he played a lot of 6 (Laurie). He can really move and would give our opponents serious headaches.
Sigining Joe O would be massive too
Wouldn't mind Ofahengaue. Wests pay some of his deal and we have him on the bench. He needs a kick up the arse at times but is an Origin quality player. Having him third in our rotation makes him valuable. Though having him at Wests as a star, that's why he is failing as it has not worked. He needs to go back to basics and just be a good rotational guy for us. Still young too, BA surely would get a lot out of him.
Joe O at his best is an offloader as well so would suit BA game plan very well. BA would get the best out of him and he is capably of playing prop, lock and in the backrow. Also can be a big minute player. If we are looking for an impact player on the bench we could easily do it if Matto and Joe O is our bench middle. Hands cover dummy half and can play lock as welll.
Juicy mangoes!
I will sit through it again so you don't have to but from memory Joe O looked like he had ALLT of juice in round 1. I just think he hates Sheenius
Its interesting cause he was tigers best forward last year and maybe even their best player. All though thats not hard for a shit team.
100%!
I think he is just fed up.
