Who cares, after all he has lost the dressing room, is a bush coach, and how many other terms to describe him, negatively?
Thing is whatever he said worked and the whole team showed a lot of patience to win, losing Trex was meant the others had to stand up.
Whatever is said, the eels won today without using W Smith off the bench, as Kaysa showed he is worthy of the 9 spot and for matches in a row played 80. We no longer need a utility on the bench if he keeps going this way.
Fair enough calls on the tries that should not have been scored, especially when the likes of Kenny should never allowed that, same when Gutho was seriously side stepped. Still we are now I believe on the rise. Hopefully Kaysa is not too badly hurt is ok for next week. If he's 100% then he will play meaning we can have 4 main forwards on the bench. Losing Trex and not playing WIll, meant we were affectively a 15 man team which makes it a better win really.
The 9 commentators were really giving Kaysa a boost, got their MOM, but as per usual a couple went on about Kaysa's non stop play and the energy. One said his issue is he cannot keep away from the role he is doing and is/was playing as if he was 110KG forward. At that point he went in low on one of the Tigers forwards, they along with myself held our breath, but rather than the old KP he had his head further down to go between the tackled players leg, his head did not get a whack. His tackling technique today was great, he is learning. But as I think it was Flapper Freddie who said, he has to realise that he is not a 110kg prop and play according to his ability and weight. Agreed.
We now still sit last but, our + and - still is not good but our defence has closed things up a bit, with 3 clubs above us worse in defence, and the dogs marginally better in attack than us
He played great love it when he runs so quick off the mark but watching him in backplay he was out on his feet with 5 to go but so were players from both sides
His yardage today was great, read the play well, also his defence was first rate. What more could he do?
Average service, that's a tough call as he was pretty well involved in all but one of our tries with the way he got the ball out. His defence has picked up big time, the couple of tackles he missed were also missed by some other forwards, Ma'u, Terepo and one other, who should be doing that work? a 90Kg hooker or 104Kg prop and 2nd rowers, lock?
"He will fight for the vacant Port Kembla Heavyweight title and make a motza in pay-per-veiw...because everyone hates him now and watching him take some head-shots would be cathartic....villans get paid."
"They have never been in a position of not getting what they want. They said when first started Ryles should just tell the board to let him go as they let him go, despite not letting him touch Storm players for 12 months, they also said the Sydney…"
