Wright or Latimore??

I'm aware Broderick Wright will be Cayless' replacement if he is unfit on Sunday but do you guys think he is the man? Jeremy Latimore showed some great potential in the handful of games he played this year and arguably had a bigger impact. Who would you be going with?

  • i'd be going with latimore, but who cares...it's andos call that matters
  • i agree with you that lats has shown more but also i think he has had less nrl experience and that could be the factor.
  • Brod Wright was terrible against the Dragons in Rd26, i'd be going with Latimore too.
    • I'm not particularly fond of either player to be honest. Latimore looks slow and lazy and Broderick Wright has never overly impressed me either.

However of the two, I would go for Wright. At least he is a bit more mobile, is a better defender and is capable of doing the dirty stuff up front.
    • I think you have to forgive all players in that Rd26 game for an off day. I think they may have been on a bit of a "work to rule" order that day (not saying we threw it, just didn't show our hand). Witness his namesakes form in the next couple of games after a shocker.
  • Wright will be there if cayless is out i think..either is no replacement for cayless.

Be good if Poore was here a year early.
  • Latimore, I like his size
  • Latimore is bigger and probably has more potential, but I would go for Wright, purely because he's been consistently good for us in the games he has played this year.

Bar one poor performance, Wright has made, without fail, 100m+ per game off the bench.
  • Bord Wright is a toiler who will not shirk the tough stuff. He won't make 10 metres per hit-up, but he will try his guts out. He is also a rock solid defender and has played in lower grade Grand Finals for Parramatta.

Latimore has potential, but he needs to fill out a bit to have more impact. And he hasn't played 1st Grade in months. I think he'd be caught off the pace in this game, particularly in defence. Mind you, I think he's a pretty solid defender from the handful of games he played this year - just hasn't been playing any games at the type intensity Wright has.
    • Fully agree as usual!

I find it amusing that the consensus was don't sack Robson or Lowrie, etc due to showing loyalty to the players who got us to the grand final, but Brod Wright played in a large proportion of those lead up wins and never let us down except for that match, which I think we all need to wipe from our memories anyway.
