Question for all of you dreamers out there, If you won the $80 Million Powerball tonight, would you buy the Eels??
Me personally, as much as i love the club it can only ever be a money pit and it wouldnt be an investment but more so out of love for the club. I wouldnt buy it

The club got a 25M loan to build the new car park. And how much was spent on the new Kicks Bowling Alley & Arcade? Does the new stadium come with the team? ;)Did the Souths Sydney team come with a Leagues club?? i dont think it did.. not sure Manlys did ether

What I wanna know is, If Souths are a private club, how can they claim to have 30k members? Members of what, Leagues Club, Football Club? Their members don't vote on anything because the club doesn't belong to them.

Outrunna, you should know that they count their teeth. Most Souths fans have 2 teeth so, each fan counts as 2 members.
Crowe & Holmes-a-Court each bought 37.5% of Souths Footy club, Souths Leagues Club owns the remaining 25%.
The Penn family bought from memory 51% of Manly, Max Delmege bought 36% & Manly LC retained the remaining 13% of the footy club.
The Leagues Club’s remain independent entities of the footy clubs.
So if you wanted to buy the Eels, you wouldn’t get the Leagues Clubs millions, you’d just get a footy club that has lost $22m the last two years.

Just wondering, when I win tonights 80M from Powerball, how much of it will get taxed? That could decide wether I buy our club or not. I might have to go into partnership with someone to afford it though.
At least when I buy the club I'll be able to change our name from Parramatta Eels to the mighty "Penalty Errors".
It suits us pefectly. We are the best at helping our opponents to beat us via our dumb penalties & errors. It's the only thing we're good at, but at least we're the best at it.-
