Would Parramatta still exist?.

If it was not for Parramatta being in a strategic location where The NRL does not want to lose ground or territory to the AFL and Football would Parramatta still be relevant or have a team?.  Or would we have been merged/relocated or killed off?.  We do not offer anything on the field at all, other teams who have been more successful than us have needed to merge etc.  I'm thinking the only thing that has saved us being removed is the geographical location.

Whenever Wests, Cronulla etc have a bad year relocation or merging talk comes up but we are always safe no matter what happens, why is that?.

    For exactly the reasons you stated. Why alienate one of your 'products' biggest fan bases. If we even look like going well TV ratings improve exponentially on previous years/ rounds.
    Us Parra fans are often delusional and the TV execs / NRL love us for it.
    I don't know about a lot of others but if Parrs were not in the NRlL I would have ZERO interest. As it stands now, the game is so shit that Parra is the only part of it I care about at all.

      Thats the reason i pretty much don't watch the other games its the loyal/naive eels fans that make them a good product not the club themselves
