Worst case finals scenario

With the loss to the Dogs and Manly knocking off the Raiders it is looking more likely that we will face Cronulla week 1 of the finals.

For me the playing Cronulla is the worst case scenario especially is a week one elimination.  Yes this could change with results I just hope that we win one of our last 2 and at least we have the home final.

Is there a worst outcome than playing Cronulla week one or even The Sharks at the Shire?

  • Agreed it’s probably the worst outcome. I think the best we could manage is 5th which is definitely worth fighting for.

  • The Sharks wont be using Shark Park if they get a home final, unlike Manly they are not prepared to spend an extra $100k to meet the criteria for finals footy.

  • If we can't beat the Sharks -most probably at Bankwest, we don't deserve to play in week 2 in any case.

    • Well said

    • I agree that Moses may have gone one to many short passes to Manu, but each time he went there Manu was either through or likely to get into space and dropped the ball.

I am confident Manu takes one of those balls and it's try time

      • Manu was attacked more than once by Bulldogs players just prior to him touching the ball. Like a milli-second which in my understanding constitutes a penalty. However, because the refs can be manipulated and assisted with the use of Brown paper bags no penalties were given.

  • Manly have Melbourne then us. Therefore,  if we win our next two games  it's likely we finish above Manly on the table and avoid the Sharks who look destined to finish 7th.

    • Not to mention, Bunnies have Roosters in the last round. If the Warriors spring an upset on the Bunnies next week (which is conceivable, particularly given they're home) then the same principle applies

  • It is what it is folks no point wondering all will be known in two weeks.,

  • we have fergo back this week , he was on the matty johns show tonight and was looking great,,he said he trained today solid and watched  the dogv eels game   , also he said we needed that game and the eels are working on a few thinks before the semis.
