Clint Gutherson has been offered a deal to return to where his NRL career began at Manly.
NRL 360 co-host Paul Kent broke the news on Monday night the Sea Eagles have officially tabled an offer to the Parramatta captain and fullback.
Gutherson took himself to the open market after knocking back the latest offer from the Eels, who many believe have erred in stalling on re-signing the likeable star.
The Eels have as many as 19 players off contract, as well as coach Brad Arthur, which includes captain Gutherson and halfback Mitchell Moses.
The club has reportedly offered Gutherson a number of deals but they have all been knocked back by his manager Sam Ayoub.
I thought this was not a possibility due to their cap issues. But I'd say it comes down to what they actually offered him and for how long as it is all good for them to make an offer, but doubt they could offer him anything better than what PARRA offered.

This is what happens when you offer your best player & captain 450k.
Correct. But we’ve made no progress in negotiations. We haven’t even officially tabeled an upgrade which reflects his worth.
And if so, so be it.
i believe the clubbed upped the offer twice and the last one was circa $650,000 for 3 x years. Intially it was a 2 x year deal. I don't blame the club, he's come off 2 knee reconstructions so there is a bit of a risk there.
Most players of Gutho's abilities and age are generally after 3 year deals as a means of securing their immediate future. If he's offered the $650k a year for 3, he could also get another year as an option, but it will still come back to who is coach. If BA is signed up again which also should be for 3 years then Gutho is likely 98% to stay.
this is what happens when school boys drool over a bloke who snaps his knee he is worth $2 and take ba with u and moses we dont need them
Where would they play him?
Looks like kenty is extending the favour to Ayoub even further. Let's see how long this drags on.
I wonder who Kenty’s agent is .......??
