Wiremu Greig at captains run

So Captains run is a great indicator as to who will play the following day, Wiremu Greig was there with them while Cartwright was there in normal training gear with a blue singlet

So must be Greig in for Cartwright, which seems a bit stupid would rather Perham. Nothing against Greig I like him more than Kaufusi, but you'll have a bench of Makatoa, Matterson, Kaufusi and Greig, with Matto playing Lock you'd have technically 3 middle forwards, where would Greig fit in within the rotation unless a second rower goes down causing Matterson to fill in

Perham at least is a utility option you can slot in anywhere

  • BA's bench use / selections have been bizarre to start the season.  Yeah theres been injuries in the squad but we've had the ability to pick 3 forwards and a utility every week. We don't need to be pushing dudes to the brink or disrupting the whole side for an injury this early in the season. You'd think he'd learn his lessons from past failures and improve as a coach.

    • I have no issue with Greig being named, the issue is when he doesn't get on the field, how is he meant to develop when he's on the bench?

But as master coach Kearney once said, players learn more on the bench than on the field.

        • Maybe Wilson but the fact Cartwright was wearing different shirt and a blue singlet shoes me he's 18th man

  • Brad Arthur's selections and bench usage is definitely his Achilles heel besides his ability to coach tactically

  • Why doesn't Perham get a go?!

I think he'd be a great utility player, covers wing,centre,fb,5/8 and possibly hooker..

    Doesn't make sense..

Also it's not like he doesn't have first grade experience, he's played games for the warriors and like a couple for us too..

    • He only has 10 NRL games, 9 for Warriors and 1 for us, under his belt.

  • I read that Simonsonn could be out due to a head knock from last round, so if that's the case Perham will likely come in on the wing.

  • Well looking NSW cup team list changes, Greig is out and Perham is still named but Naiduki is out

He cannot play today as he was not named in the final 19 unless exemption like we had with Dunster in semis in 2020 but very unlikely so not sure why he is out.

  • Can I say with all due respect this weeks banners a little how ya going . Bit disappointing that the one I submitted wasn't chosen. Gues it's who ya know . Here's mine which I'm sure everyone will agree was hard done by not to get selected. Mine was far superior and also included the NRLWs player.
