Wiremu Greig

I thought the turning point today was Greig's short stint on the field. Without RCGs hard running we have been a bit lost and certainly for a big period of todays game I thought we struggled up the middle until Greig came on and really lifted us with some big runs. Question is why so few minutes? I know it's his game back from injury but surely he could have had 2 x 15 min stints? No matter what happens for the rest of the year we've found a beast of a prop in Wiremu.

  • First interchange shoulda been Wirremu on Ofa off , he made meters straight away. Fuckin keep the fwd dominance BUT no not BA , we'll need Greig and Ogden next week

    • Ogden will be exposed in defence against broncos. Cant have paulo, Greig and Ogden in the same team. Too much more lateral defence.

  • He gassed out pretty quickly though but his runs were damaging . Real shame he got injured when he did he was really taking off in terms of match fitness and resilience. He will be handy now again .

  • Thought both Greig and Moretti were both very good

  • Yes. I thought this myself. It was about this time Paulo decided to run a bit harder as well. That was the turning point.

  • I thought both Greig and Moretti did the 'power game', up to then, our forwards had no impact. Definitely the turning point. BA doesn't have the cattle to play the game he wants at the moment.

  • Big fan of the big fella.

Hopefully the team keeps winning and he gets a chance to taste semi final footy cause I reckon they could the making of the EMU.

  • I thought both Luca and Wiremu did a solid job when they were on

  • Absolutely correct. Finally started winning the ruck. Once again Paulo is absolutely taking the piss, 3rs highest paid prop in the game my ass. Watching us get dominated by a garbage Dragons pack for 80% of that game was embarrassing.

  • In the crowd you cou"d feel the team lift as soon as he came on and had those first 2 or 3 runs. We were out agressioned by the Dragons until then. Paulo is a big bag of estrogen , no ommpf in him at all.The Dragons simply wanted it more and were harder , tougher and faster , until Greig showed those cream puffs how to have a dig.
