wiremu greig

Can anyone confirm if wiremu greig has signed with the titans next year. I thought he has signed on for 2023, with parramatta
furthermore did greig get suspended for that shoulder charge against the bulldogs in NSWRL cup

  • Im a fan, but if he signed elsewhere thats a smart move for him, he obviously isnt up to BAs high standards and will never get a decent run here.

    He's better going somewhere else.

  • Gees I hope not. We bring him here and develop him. He is a beast. Seriously surprised at the lack of opportunity shown to him by BA.  Game shim some game time last year without time to settle and nothing since. Starting point....Kaufausi is leaving, are we really that far worse off giving Greig a crack? PersoanaIly, no offence to Kaufusi, but he has the occasional glimpse and not much else, wouod rather Greig be give first grade time than the player that has chosen to leave.  Before you all jump down my throat, Kaufusi and Ice are two different propositions, but hey that is my opinion.

    • Surprised a lot of the younger players aren't getting more game time, Grieg, Rodwell, Ogden, and others

    • Makes no sense at all. Ice you'd keep on the park - he's quality. Kafoose is average so given he's leaving, I just don't get why we're not blooding some of the younger crew - they don't play a whole game, bench middles, come on and do a job... wouldn't even matter if we rotated through a couple - we'll have a good idea for next year... and if it was done earlier, we might even have a solid option instead of Kafoose for finals.

    • There's younger, bigger and more mobile forwards out there than Greig. Better to go looking at the Penrith juniors because our juniors are shit

    • Maybe it's as simple as he has showed fuck all this year and he might be a dud??

  • Let him go for the kids sake. Stuck in Reggie's doing

nothing. He is wasted here and deserves a crack at first grade at another club

  • He is contracted to us next season.

He has played 3 first grade games for us and we won all 3 games. He also has a 100% tackle efficiency.

Needs more 1st grade time and hopefully will get it next year considering the amount of forwards we have lost.

We are apparently still interested in Marty Kapow who has been told he isn't wanted at Manly. If we could get him cheap enough he would be a good forward leader for the young blokes like Greig to learn off of.

  • I would think if he was at another top 8 club he would have been given more opportunities to see if he is a genuine top 17. Players who play with other top players often fit in quite well.

  • Is he going any good in NSW cup?

"Well he was offered a path at least, maybe not in the position he wanted but guarenteed FG week in week out. Penrith there was never certainty of starting straight away.
Not sure who offered more in financials though. "

"Are you talking about Julio Jones? It was sad seeing him decline the way he did. He signed with Tampa, who i support, it was a shame seeing a shell of his former HOF self."

I cannot answer for EA, but if there is a kid to play 6 now the closest bet would be Papali'i or Volkman. In future Twidle or Talataina could be the future.
