Regardless of whether or not Hayne makes the Fiji Olympic team....... the attention from the "Hayne effect" and new audience his RIO adventure has brought Fiji 7's, their coach and country is a Win for them and eventually the bank account. Reading below I can see why they called him up for a trial. I bet they never expected him to make it.

If he doesn't make it, he has been able to use it as a reason or excuse to start training for his 2016 return to the NRL ........ and the Eels. Is it possible that this has been the plan all along? The cut is made mid June right? A week after the Eels response. Mid June will be very interesting!!
As much as I think Hayne is an incredible talent, and my kids looooove him, 2 mths ago I would have said the team is a better team without him. Now, I think he might be the Eels best (maybe only) chance at a 2017 tilt at the title. I bet BA commands that much respect now that he can also keep egos in check more than he could in the past.
If Hayne returning to the Eels goes against the plans of others and pisses off News Ltd, Fox, Paul the Kent, Buzz, the Roosters, the NRL and its part owned clubs.......... and ESPECIALLY Gertrude....... it would feel like winning 2 premierships in one year......... and maybe, just maybe make all this shit worthwhile!!......... and then we WIN!!!
Maybe it is time for the Hayne Campaign!

I meant to say Greenterd...... not Gertrude.
Playing Rugby Seven's is honestly the best choice he could have made if he ultimately wanted to return to the NRL this year. The intensity of that sport is crazy, and the Cardio training that he would be spending at minimum 6 weeks doing, would bring him back into at least decent NRL standards.
If in fact he fully commits to it.
100% agree. I also think that Hayne has a pretty big ego. He will need to be needed. Understandably.
He also has very strong faith. I don't want to say the word saviour......But the opportunity that coming back to the Eels to help them in the time of their biggest ever need AND win a premiership AND help the blues win back SOO in the 3rd deciding game plays into ego, faith and a huge need. Not to mention....... will really make for a great movie script some day! Who would they cast as Greenterd? Sorry, but ever since I learned that he was made aware of Ryan Tandy's situation (RIP) and did nothing to help a player in major troubles I can't stand knowing he is CEO of the game. If it ever comes out that it was the NRL that leaked the info on Foran and not Tabcorp I will struggle to support NRL with him at the helm .......and my boy will switch to RU.
Hayne will be back in the NRL - 100%. Most likely to us.
Don't think you have to worry about your boy switching to RU. There is no way the NRL leaked Foz's TAB details.
I sure hope you are right. I dont have a huge amount of confidence in the NRL and News Ltd when it comes to this stuff. Just look at the supposed 'secret document' (letter) give to the NRL's integrity unit by the crime commission re Hopoate. Made it straight to the Telegraph. And again...... Star City is at the centre. I noticed Hayne chose Star City for his Wayne Beavis meeting. What is it with Star City? Are they TPA provider No.1 or something? That is also where Jacob Loco got busted right?...... or is it just where all the shady dudes hang now since the Cross is closed out? The Crime Commission must have the whole joint bugged!
