Win against the Sharks

What a great win against the Sharks.

I think thats the best they have played since the Hayne days and I can't recall them playing
that well under Brad Arthur's tenure.

Their teamwork was outstanding. It looked as if Moses had free reign to play the game as he saw fit.

It was a game they had to win and they certainly rose to the occasion.

The big question now is, can they sustain that level of performance for the rest of the season.

One commentator said that they will have to win 9 out of their next 12 games.

Is that achievable?

According to various articles, Brad Arthur had a close relationship with a number of the players.

Perhaps he was too close.

  • Good win and some positive signs but we looked very vulnerable in behind the ruck.

Getting a little bit ahead of yourself.
The sharks did score 22 points.

  • Bit of a stretch to say that's the best they've played during the BA days but it was a very good performance attack wise, defensively though ...

The team did look as though the shackles had been released.

Keen to see which team shows up on Monday - think Moses and the boys will want to impress....

    • That's BAZ's next frontier. BA never got the team performing consistently. Unexpedly lose to a minnow, then shock a high flyer, rinse and repeat. Can BAZ extract consistent performances?

Note the Dogs have the 2nd best defensive record but they have had a soft draw. Their only victory over a Top 8 team being against a 12-man Chooks who scored 4 H2 tries with 12 men and 1 with just 11 men.

Wierd as it sounds, Eels should roll Dogs on the Eels' Sharks form. So a sh*t game vs Dogs would say the inconstancy is too baked in?

  • I would say Round 3 v Manly was one of their better wins in a while and that was under BA. The win on Thursday, let's be fair is better than what it actually was due to us winning only 6 of our previous 19 games.

Now, it was a good win against a good team, but at same time have a long way to go before we see constant improvement.

We played better footy in 2020 under BA when our defence was top 3.

  • Sharks were shocking to there defence they were missing key players and had just won 50 games in a row

    The eels were pumping

That should be it for a while. Really enjoyed the moment though and hope we get some speed down the track .love the speed😘
