  This is hardly new news.
  Tonga was rumoured to both us and Souths about 2 months ago.
  It's just Weidler looking for a story on a slow news day.

  I think it may have been tonga all along that we were chasing and not thurston as has been repeatedly blogged!!!

  No mate, Tonga himself has said he is interested and it does seem true that he has been promised a release. Hardly old news as before it was just a rumour, now it seems a lot more certain, at least IMO. Hopefully we do sign him :)

  Still though, I remember some time ago, there was some genuine interest from Tonga to come here in light of a possible poor relationship with Neil Henry.
  The point I was trying to make, is that it's nothing that we haven't heard before, and we heard some time ago, that Tonga was rumoured to come our way.
