A bit like Anasta in that the early wraps that he got left everyone wanting man of the match performances every game from him rather than solid outings.
Off the field he is a bit of a goose but has done nothing malicious. Of course you wouldn't sign him for 400k or whatever he was on at the Rorters but you would be foolish not to consider picking him up for a discounted amount.
Having said that Parra are probably won of the squads that need him the least, so I can't see it happening.
However If it were possible I would take Willie in an instant. The bloke is a talented Rugby League player, even if he is over his prime I think he would fit in perfectly at Parra.
People say he is a bad influence at clubs well I honestly believe he is a decent bloke who is just the life of the party and cops more blame than what he should. He's gone through a lot in his career and I think he would have learnt some valuable lessons in that time and now he has the ability to pass them on to younger players. I believe he would have a positive influence at the club not negative, I believe this is one of the main reasons Bellamy wanted him, and Bellamy has proven to be one of the best recruiters of players in the business.
Imo it is doubtful that Willie will find a contract in the NRL this year, however if he does he will have a massive point to prove and i reckon hes in for a big season
I would have Willie in my team in a heartbeat based on his onfield peformances. The blues really need him.
I rate him very highly... he has a recent history of going quiet in big games but that is because he was wrongly played as a prop too often. He was great last year given he was coming back from a knee reconstruction.
Hope he 1. Stays in the NRL... 2. Keeps his mouth shut (as he has of late).

And with a bench where you get to choose from the likes of Cayles, Shackleton, Smith and Mannah!
