Will we beat the Knights?

Do you think we'll back up Monday's performance and beat a desperate Knights team at home? For me this has 2014 written all over it. I remember our stirring rd 24 victory over Manly at Pirtek when we came from behind and powered over them to finish 22-12 in front of a packed house. It was probably our best performance that year and one of my all time favourites. But then the following week we travelled to Newcastle to take on the Knights where a finals spot was up for grabs. We got thrashed that day and our season ended with a whimper. Are we at risk of something similar happening again? Just how far have we come? It's a big danger game and it will be a huge character test.

  • Time for revenge- knights have beaten us 10 out of last 12

  • I take an upset in my tipping comp every week. I always tip with my head not heart. The Knights are so far my upset tip. That could change but I have a feeling we are going to meet a fired up Newcastle team and crowd. If we can overcome that and win well it will be great signs that we have turned it around. I’m not quite convinced we are genuine title threat yet. A big win against the Knights backed up with a good win at home the following week against the Dragons should restore a lot of people’s belief. Let’s do this!

  • Tough game .  Saw some footage inside dressing shed it liked it was composed .  No wild celebrations .  If fergo plays we win easily . He will steel the side .

I like our rotations and blend of youth.  These young guys don’t know about losing 10 of our last 12 games . They live for the day . Play what is in front of them .  Discipline and line speed will get us home

  • Im with Nidge

  • If we don’t win this game we are pretenders.

  • Big pressure week done and dusted. We can now just concentrate on playing footy. Will click once again, competition for spots, fergo back. Hang onto your seats, and its my birthday.

  • I can't ever be confident going to Newcastle. If we do win this one, I'm going to start to get a bit more excited.

  • The best win wherever, and when often they shouldn’t.  Let’s hope we win up there. I agree it will be a stern test

  • Watch them play the Titans. Knights are a rabble,

  • It will be a close game but we'll have too much fire power for them. Eels running away with it by 10.

I see Keon's price as irrelevant (within reason), because he is an absolute no brainer for the Eels.

Paulo was fantastic last season, though, he’s fighting the clock & Keon is a perfect replacement longer term.
