  Is the up and coming movie, based on a book? Most movies are, but I thought this would be original.

  It'll be great. Disney has a bunch of money to spend on it and the right director in JJ Abrams. They won't make the same mistake as episode 1. And you can also expect that with Disney paying about 4 billion for Lucasfilm, they'll be making a new movie every 2 years for a long time. (Plus cartoons in between releases)

    Im not keen on the idea of JJ Abrams, same man to re-create Star Trek and Star Wars. The story lines from the books are epic. The little i have herd of the story JJ has used sounds pretty bloody cool too. Some cyborg dude has the force and is untrained. He is fascinated with the Dark side and is tracking down artifacts like Vaders helmet.

  No, there's heaps of books released by different people in unaffiliated with Lucasfilm. They won't be going along with any of those stories. When JJ Abrams was brought on board to direct, he didn't like the screenplay they had so he scrapped it and rewrote it himself. Apparently the original screenplay was more focused on the children of the original cast, but his screenplay has the original cast a lot more involved in the story.

  I did not know they made another star wars movie thank slip because im a fan of star war I don't know how I miss any news of it I mite be in the stars

  Won't beat Empire Strikes Back. That was a classic. Saw that at the Roxy in Parramatta 1980.
