Will RCG injury prompt movement in the market

With RCG expected to miss some time, including Origin I and possibly II, will this prompt BA to look at the market in order to fill the void. Wiremu Greig has improved, he is looking good every week, but he is better off the bench for impact. We need a starting Prop. Now Greig will start while Makatoa comes onto the bench, but i would play Ogden as i feel he offers a little more with a passing game at least.

Though we might be in need of a Prop in general, one to start while RCG is out and then to move to the bench once he is back.

Added to that, Matt Ikuvalu off to Catalan, Tommy Talau signing with Manly, we sit on our hands just waiting. Now would Ikuvalu or Talau improve us? Perhaps, both aren't overly great but i would take either over Dunster and Russell at the moment. I understand we do not sign for the sake of signing, though Manly didn't need Talau, yet feel it is worth while signing him. We obviously want a Centre, but are we doing what we need to in order to get one? Too focused on Laurie who would only help us for 20-25mins a game, only playing one position.

Anyway, it is frustrating as it feels we can get there but few things in the squad holding us back.

  • Grieg isn't the answer. He's too slow and not fit enough in my opinion. This really falls on the shoulder of the Eels recruitment and the coach for not pursuing other options in case of these situations occur

  • I would be looking at the forwards in England they tend to do well in the NRL

  • What about Mansour.

He's doing Fucking nothing in reserves for Souths, surely he's better than what we have.

    • He is actually at the dogs

      • He is actually at the sharks reserve grade side.

  • Answer for the backs is at the tigers. Pick up both Nofoaluma and Laurie. We should also make a play for Fletcher Baker Roosters already have plenty of forwards he'd be a very good pick up. Have a team of:

    1. Laurie

    2. Sivo

    3. Gutherson (floats around similar to Manu for Roosters)

    4. Penisini

    5. Nofoaluma

    6. Brown

    7. Moses

    8. Baker

    9. Hands

    10. Paulo

    11. Lane

    12. Matterson

    13. Hopgood

    14. Cartwright

    15. Doorey

    16. Greig

    17. Makatoa

    • Broncos have made a good offer for baker

      • We should make a bigger offer

        • I'd be getting jwh over give him the captaincy

          • He is a weapon JWH I like it

"He does, I think we're seen as a club on the up... but obviously we still have a bit of work competing with the Roosters, Broncos and Storm."
