Sean Russell is deadset atrocious . He had a few good moments the last couple of weeks mixed with many bad ones , I think most of us have long realised he's not a consistent reliable first grader and he doesn't have the athleticism to mask it.
... but when do we start the convo about Will? 76 NRL games and is still making rookie reads and isn't consistent with his decision making . Throw in he only ran the ball 6 times last night and things like kick chase seem to be negotiable for him .. I think we should be expecting more from a 76 game player. Especially one who BA identified as the future of the club. He's struggling with the fundamentals of the game and his decision making week to week let alone being a strike centre.
Our outside backs continue to cost us dearly in games .

Rapana wants to go around again next year and hasn't signed with the raiders yet. The eels should make him a 1 year offer, like simmonson, he is a competitor, we need more competitors in our squad if we want to change the culture. Watching talagi I am glad he is going, he reminds me so much of dylan brown in the way he looks disinterested and laid back. Talagi only wants to compete with the ball in his hands, how many passes have hit him in the chest or shoulder for him to juggle with about a 50% catch rate, this happens because he gives up on the play if he doesn't get the pass early. He also lacks desire and effort when chasing in defence.

We've known for years our defence out wide is so fcked up. But year after year, we see no improvements. I have know idea who the defensive and conditioning coaches are but I am glad Ryles is cleaning out the joint and bringing in a new team. I don't care who they are, I am sure anyone other than these current gooses would do a better job. I mean it cannot get any worsts than what we have now.

Steve Antonelli & Murphy, Barrett won't be part of Ryles coaching staff that's a win already
He has potential but I think a lack of competition for his spot has made him very complacent over the last year and he's not developing his defence has gone backwards
It comes down to coaching, the likes of Penisini and Russell should be better but are not improving. Talagi has that raw Hayne type of talent, but is not showing a bees dik of what Hayne was when he first came into grade, goes to show how poor our whole coaching system is all the way through our grades.
Penisini has it in him. He needs to be guided and coached.
Russell is also alright. Good cup player and can cut it NRL, has good pace and can finish.
No need for the calamity.
