Hopoate seems more like the type of FB to score by doing his job very well and backing up in the right place rather than pure individual brilliance creating something out of nothing.
That may take time to develop. May not be fair to our current halves to blame them like I have for not creating opportunities in the oppositions 20. Hard to develop combinations when the backline is different every month. Sandow did have a good understanding with Sio and that brought many tries. End of ramble and back to work.

Hoppa will still be slow no matter who plays where. He is slow, does not create anything and hasn't supported one line break this season. He is not a fullback's arsehole. All he does is run from dummy half - a centre or wingers job.
I personally don't think we'll see Hoppa at fullback next year if he's with us.
I hope he is taking a significant pay cut.If he was going to develop speed (if thats really possible) he would have gained it by now.But in saying that I think that is all he really lacks.
I was thinking a good half would get him through the line e.g. a well placed grubber.
Not that Sandow could not do that but just rarely see him show any skill once we get to the try line - except when Sio was around
His catching is fine. Getting under it is his problem.
Will Hopoate... Be a better fullback when Foran arrives!
