Will Hindmarsh play?

Has anyone heard how Hindy is traveling with his sternum injury. I know he is down to play but it is a hard injury to deal with. I hope he dosen't pull out at the last minute, it would be a huge blow to our chances, not to mention my Fantasy team.

  • DA was adamant its a chest injury and not sternum.

If it is sternum my guess is he's out.

If its chest as DA says then I would say he'll play.
  • The entire playthedoors family has their fingers and toes crossed than Hindy can play this weekend!
  • I hope he does... the stats dont look too good without Hindy

Parramatta supporters will hope Nathan Hindmarsh isn't a late withdrawal against Melbourne Storm this weekend as he was last week, and Fox Sports Stats shows why.

Without Hindmarsh, figures show the Eels struggle badly to win.

Hindmarsh is accustomed to carrying opposition tacklers, but Fox Sports Stats indicates he also carries his team. While full-back Jarryd Hayne might be integral to Parramatta’s attack, Hindmarsh is the key to their defence.

Since the 2005 preliminary final, Parramatta have routinely gone missing without their talisman. Of the 11 games he has missed, the Eels have recorded victories in just three.

  • I'd suggest that from comments made subsequently by Hindy himself, that Anderson was trying a little bit of the smoke and mirrors stuff when he attempted to differentiate between a 'chest' and 'sternum' injury.

Can be a difficult injury to get over because there isn't a lot you can do for it.
