Will Fabian Goodall feature in the nrl in 2015?

I've been watching Fabian for a couple of months, he also has an excellent you tube video on which is impressive to watch. I want to know if anyone thinks he will make his nrl debut for the eels this year. He is exciting, strong and has some skills I think would be useful to us.Does he fit in yet ?

  • I think he'll make his debut this year but he could still use a few rounds playing NSW cup.

  • I think he will he's to good to leave out. Its just matter of time

  • I'd imagine Fabian will play in the trials and dependant on how he goes there will go someway to when he debuts. He definitely has all the attributes on a modern day winger he is big, quick, is good on his feet, can finish and from what I've seen is good in the air. He also has an extremely good offload. He acquitted himself well in the NSW cup games he did play this year although like most rookies coming from NYC will probably need more work on his defence. Wouldn't be disappointed to see him round 1, think he offers more than Robinson, especially helping the forwards bring the ball out from our own end. Could be the next Semi.
  • I hope so. It's too hard to actually tell how he will go until we actually see him in first grade but in saying that I think (hope) he kills it.
  • I think he will spend this year in NSW cup honing his skills and playing against the men, next year or unless there are injuries this season he may get an oppertunity.

  • Thanks guys, glad he has some fans! Cheers for your perspectives. I hope he is up for it.
  • Watched him closely towards the end of the 20's season...looked a little lazy & noticed a lack of involvement & impact...although he still looks promising as a future1st grader....BA will need to work him very hard.....

    • Laziness can be worked on; speed, and size, is very hard to teach which fabian has in spades. He's a very good player and what he has up on the other 21 year old outside backs is that he's had around 8 nsw cup games under his belt.

Even if fabian doesn't work out we've still got: toutai, folau, lavaka, Davis, and crooks that are 22 or younger.
    • Thanks ham, read some of the other posts you wrote about our small forwards. They were a good read! Value your opinion.
  • Fabian can't goal kick and Robinson and Crooks can - could keep Fabian out next year

Would love to be on more but the number of adds make it really hard / annoying to navigate around the site.
I understand you need to have adds to keep the site afloat so."
