Why would you want to become a super power.
We might not be a super power but there aren't many other countries that have a better standard of living.
Canada and Norway are always pretty high, but they are cold.
I agree, and I think the way to do that is to be more self sustainable.
We need to start having more agriculture and sustainable farming practices.
Invest in new and growing industries.
Not just become the worlds mineral hole to be plundered.
And if countries to the north of Australia are going to be a threat then we have no choice. We are currently spending big on weapons which there has to be a reason.
I don't agree with this small population being an issue. England only has 60 million.
Agreed, the yanks have abused their power for so long and its coming back to bite them in the as$ now.
