Jack Wighton is about to sign with South Sydney, it could be of immediate effect. So, Liam Knight, who is on $500k, could be on chopping block. What a player to bring in. Tough Prop with aggression, a point to prove and aggression. He has an offload also.
Of course someone like Cronulla who do not really need him will get him, Knight and Rudolf are BFF's. But i would look to get him on a 2-3 year deal cheap to prove himself. We looked at him in 2019 before he signed with Souths.

Thought the same when considering who Eels might target to replace RCG for the next however many weeks and beyond. Would try to get him ASAP if he's fit. Doesn't seem to be much around. Luke Thompson on a greatly reduced salary perhaps...?
He is set to be back this week or next week. Thompson might be going back to ESL, plus he would be more expensive and is out for another 8 or so weeks. Knight might only cost $150-200k, is younger and needs a chance.
Yep Knight has connection to some of our players and coaches too, hopefully this comes to fruition.
Knight would be a very handy pick-up. Our bench would certainly look better with him on it instead of Makatoa or Murchie.
He has massive upside, he had issues in past with discipline and alcohol but now has a mrs who has him on straight and narrow
Knows Antonelli from Souths and Barrett from Manly, plus BA tried to get him in 2019
