Wicks 2nd row or Prop

Not likely to happen given our second row stocksAnd he is going well in the middleBut reckon he would be much better on the edge

  • Me too!

If we can get a couple of big fellas to play in the middle he'd be an excellent bench option.

  • Prop
  • I've been saying for a while that he would be better in the back row. His speed, ball skills and agility is better suited for 2nd row and is wasted on the middle.
    • Wayne, what ball skills? Please tell me.

  • Agree Wile, 2nd row

  • In attack he can play both, but in defence he is best suited to the middle.

    • Agree 100% Dave. Plenty of props are good enough to attack out wide (there is more space plus smaller defenders out there) but the reason they are props is because they aren't good enough to defend on the edges.
  • Think he's not what we need. The big men on the field in the second half last night should have turned the game our way they were not good enough.
  • Wicks got caught out of position in the defensive line the game before that lead to a try.  He did look dangerous when he scored a recent try when he attacked out wide as he is hard to tackle one on one and has the acceleration of a centre.

  • Wide running forwards need an offload in them otherwise ball gets to them and doesn't progress any further. Wicks just doesn't have an offload in him so a big fat NO.
