So this is not a reaction to last night this is based on last year plus recritment etc.. i believe we are a bottom 4 team and anything above 12th place would be an over achivement.
I would love someone to convince me otherwise so here is the chance for the optimists or unicorns to convince me otherwise.
Before i get attacked as not a real fan im a 10 year member i travel from the central coast every week unless im working as i will do this year in the hope of victory.

mate it’s an absolute disgrace that we go into our 33rd season since we last won a comp already knowing we’re no hope of winning it .
I just hope the young guys coming through show plenty of promise and we develop a style that will get us closer next year if we add the right pieces to compliment them . Not sure either is achievable with BA at the helm but if it happens by miracle he should get an extra 2 years with the 2nd in our favour.
A bad result for us this year will be us playing like we did the last 4 years and having a successfully mediocre season closer to 2017 with everyone patting themselves on the dick and BA getting an extension.
I think we will make the eight this year and nothing I saw last night from any of our top squad players changes that.
The biggest positive from last night? It was over in eye All Stars game and a certain Blake Ferguson. I’ve been saying all offseason that he was the closest thing to what Semi was providing us running around in the comp last year and he showed again last night his combination of size speed and power. He’s a huge inclusion for us.
Junior Paulo looks incredibly fit and just a beast. I reckon he will be close to the best front rower in the Comp this year.
Shaun lane also looked good, Manly fans I know say he was their best player last year in their opinion.
And Dylan Brown and Mitchell Moses are an exciting halves combo.
I think theres hope Offside, It all hinges on a rookie kid having a blinder of a year and BA clearing up roles and responsibilities. Dylan Brown went great for a young fella in his first game amongst the big boys. He showed he had the confidence to take on the line. If he also has the confidence to organise this team then the adittions of Junior and Fergs will fill other key gaps and there is no reason we cant be a top 8 team.
Moses is a good running 5/8, not an organiser IMO.. last night we still seemed to have little plan of attack near their try line. Brown needs to step into the organising role and Moses needs to put ego aside and embrace his strong running game / play whats in front of him style of attack. If this happens we’d be ten times better..

Ferguson is key to us improving greatly. Not only for the metres he makes but watching him last night the little things he was doing. Fergo tuned one of the players for not being in position when he made a half break and could of popped it Up with no one in front. I don’t believe in the it’s just a trial game mentality as you should have the attitude through the whole club that losing is unacceptable and I think that is the mentality that Ferguson brings and I hope it’s infectious. I can see Nathan Brown running of the back of juniors hit ups giving Moses and Brown time. I don’t believe we played all of our cards in attack last night . I think Sivo and Fergo getting our sets of to a good start will make a huge difference. I believe we have enough talent in the side ,it’s going to be about attitude. Gutho Nathan Brown Moses and Ferguson are all competitive they just need to get the likes of M Jennings etc on the same page. I’ve been a fan for 40 years and have seen it in the past Hindy working his ring off with passengers in the side it just doesn’t work. If our club culture changes it will show on the paddock. Defence is attitude so if the sides culture and drive to win with effort on effort is there we will see a greatly improved team. I’m sorry mate that there is no gaurantee we will make the 8 but I like yourself hope these changes happen and we have a great year.
Why do you, and others, still mention Sivo like he will have a spot in the team? I was hyped bout him too, but he didn't even get a run in a trial game so who is to say he will even see 1st grade?
He is injured
Wasn't aware of an injury, is there an article or something confirming?
Read that he had surgery is only doing light contact I know he’s not proven but he has a lot of good attributes. The lads are saying he is a beast at training. I live in hope lol
Khagan, I think they wanna make sure Sivo recovers from his injury properly before he's selected in any team. It was only a couple of weeks ago I read that he was wearing an orange shirt at training, meaning he's just returning from injury/rehab and he's excluded from full contact drills
