Why we need to throw the Warriors Game

Beating the Roosters was a great win but a very costly one.

Paulo and Gillard played big minutes in a very intense and draining game.
Reed, Marata, N Brown and D Brown will be suspended and/or injured
Hipgrave & Dunster played such low minutes it was a waste

Winning next week will be hard especially travelling away. It would be best to just put stopgaps in for next week and also rest our big names.
Ideally Paulo, Gutherson, Moses and Gillard should be rest

Resting the players now will pay off later in the season avoiding the travel.
The team is only human and Arthur is burning the team on all cylinders.
The Broncos did this in 2006 same with the Storm.

The team deserves the rest. Bleed through as many players already in the top 30 next week and if we win great we win doubly with the rested players. If we lose who cares its our second lose which we can afford. Not ever win is worth it in a 26 round comp + final rounds.

  • I'm sorry I don't like it

  • sorry, that is not a good attitude to introduce into a team.I understand your thoughts mate -but no from me

  • I don't like it either

  • Obviously Aracom you have never played hard sport because that's an idiotic suggestion.

  • I think if it was finals time it would be a maybe, but I think it too early in the season

  • I don't disagree completely but if notice for the last 2 weeks Junior played less minutes it's expected in these games he will play big.

With at least 2 players out with suspension reserve players like Rankin/Dunster/Penesini will play next week maybe waqa plays his 1st game in 2 months.

Add in the uncertainty of Reed potentially that's 3 reserve graders with Joey Lussick coming in.

You would need to alter the bench possibly Stone as he covers hooker and the backrow.

So no I wouldn't expect they would rest to many but they might be forced into some adjustments

  • Agree

If players need a rest they won't be playing 100% and that is not usually good enough to win.

    Bring in some young enthusiasm
