I am an ardent follower of the EELS. I have been following EELS. I have been following EELS from the year 1999. I have witnessed great team of 2001 and how close we came in winning the GF.
I have seen coach come and go and we are nowhere near the dizzy heights of 1980s. I have started to believe that we cannot be a powerhouse among NRL. We will also be a mediocre club making numbers. It is with heavy heart I have to say our club gene is just bad.
This year, we will struggle to make it to 10th position. We lack discipline on the field, we have a terrible captain and our management is in tatters. We can get Thurston and yet we will be still dishing out heartless, indiscipline side we will be. BA hasn’t been leaved up to his hype. Yes, he has pulled us up from wooden spoon, but other than that we have achieved nothing.
Looking at Penrith, Dogs, Roosters or South’s we are a millennium behind.
I think BA will leave 2018 and we will get another coach then another then another.
So what is the solution? Frankly, I have no answer. As I mentioned before, our club is not made up of a champion’s material. No doubt Hayne wants to move on. We need big businessmen and ex-players to stand-up and do sometime about our club. Otherwise, we are looking at demise or probably merging with Penrith.
I am happy to be proved wrong.

Cheer up mate, the season has only just started so just think that when u r down, things can only get better & BA will turn it around fairly quickly.
As a long term Parra fan, u should be immuned to failure. According to our current management we r on track to win 2 titles in the next 5 years so just hang on. Good times r a coming.
