It was actually quite warm and humid. The stadium tends to stop most of the breeze, which would slow down evaporation from the field. The players will need to get used to this as there is probably not much the grounds staff can do about it.
Actually they can. There's apparently some form of fan underneath the surface to keep it dry. But the dew point hit about midway through the game so I'm not sure how effective that fan system would be. It was very wet through Parramatta Park after the game. The grass in particular looked as if there had been rain.
They train on it at night and knew what to expect yet they played like it was the 1st time. Dopes
Both teams had the same conditions but one team made a meal of it while the other played to the conditions. Why the hell are we so bad. Won a couple of games early & expected to win the comp. No different to during the game, Win the first 3 minutes then that's it, don't need to keep going. It's pretty sad that I expected this performance even though it was 8th playing 16th. I have no faith in this team at all after what I have seen in the last month. They are terrible.
P.S. Good job honoring Big D. I hope they don't have Foxtel in heaven because that game would have broken his heart.
