He looks like future champion and must have stood out as a junior. His speed is a rare commodity and he reads the game very well. Another one that got away.

He wasn't a Parramatta junior though. From what I read, he played or tried out for/played for the Harold Matthews team but was unsuccessful. That was his only association to us.
Other than that he was a Balmain junior. I remember him playing as high as the Under 20's for them. So its Wests that have a lot to answer for, not us.

The T.V. commentators have been calling him a Parramatta junior
Nearly all the papers call him a Balmain junior. It would be like say for instance, I was born in Parramatta, grew up there until I was 10 and played for Guildford etc, and then after that I played all my junior rugby league for Alexandria Rovers etc but I trialled with both Parramatta Harold Matthews and South Sydney teams.
Am I a Souths junior or a Parramatta junior?. I'd say Souths.

Poppa, I dont know the juniors. I was relying on the T.V. commentators. My dissention is aimed at the same people who repeatedly with their blogs show a disrespect for decency and positive comment. Vulgar language and ridicule is part of their repertoire. Have a look at Brad Arthurs birthday blog, and you will see what I mean. I am from the old school where respect and good manners meant something. You must know the people I am talking about and if you support their actions, then you are lowered in my estimation.

You missed the point as you do not refer to the content of my blog and commit yourself to agree or disagree with it. You could be polorised by your answer. The majority of the people here know nothing about the Junior footballers as mostly relatives and friends attend their gamesand we rely on the talent scouts to identify their abilities.I might be old, but do not live in the past as my mind is still open to new ideas, but still cling to old values.
I dont trust the media either, but where else are you going to get your information from. I get mine mostly from the internet.

Frankie what was wrong with the question, it is not just about Papenhuysen but about recognising Junior talent in general..Before you send your inane messages, I suggest that you use a spelling corrector, as it would make you look slightly intelligent.

You make assumptions about my life, without any knowledge whatsoever, with your usual nasty reasoning. It will show that i received a decent education which must have been lacking in your life. If you did receive one than it was totally wasted on you. In my long life,I have learned many valuable lessons.
1] There are more important thing in life than recriminating over lost football games.
2} Honesty, decency, politeness, tolerance and respect where deserved.
3] Freedom of speech if not abused.
Call me oldfashioned, but these values have stood me in good stead during my long life.
What are your values Frank?

Frankie, I am in pretty good health.thank you Yes the majority know nothing about junior football. I have attended more matches than you ever will in your life, but like most people I was not in the habit of attending Junior matches. How often do you go? My reply to you was not about Junior footbal, but about values. I asked what yours were, but as usual you cannot answer in an intelligent manner
