How about Junior Pangai even playing in the game at this stage of the season. I'm still don't understand what justified his going  to any club after the June 30 deadline. i.e. he wasn't a Sonny Bill coming from another code or the like. (just quietly i dont believe the Penrith players were happy one of there reggies missed out when he was brought in).

When the season is reviewed at NRL level that question needs to be asked as well as the Bunker adjudicating after an event. ie. every play in theory is subject to review by the bunker, which is inconsistent with the rules of refereeing which allows descretion in game management by the referee. It is like the referee making any decision to "Play On".

i.e. when the strip on the Parra play was upheld and subsequently then the bunker ruled an offside, an offside that they had no circumstantial jurisdiction over.....the ref had already ok'd it, the Parra challenge was the only thing that should have been adjudicated on.

Finally Ferguson demonstrated the rule of lying injured to effect a penalty then getting up and wanting to job the incumbent immediately. It was like Fergs saying, this is how stupid you idiots are, because I just showed you how you fcuk up. It was a demonstration of how wrong this subjective decision making as a form of revision is exploited.

The NRL needs to get some independant views on these aspects as asking coaches and ex players involved with the game implies too many biases in them thinking up the problem and inventing a way to exploit it before a "ball is bowled".

Referees like Hartigan and Hartley were amongst the greats because they used the "Play On" rules to make the game a better spectacle and not getting lost in the pedantics. That is why Origin games initially had that great appeal, everyone knows they referee those games and finals differently to general season matches.

This game is going like our society "Down the drain with Political Correctness"

Simple things like Shoulder charges, head high's that bounce of shoulders, pedantic match review committee decisions, appeals being mullified by taking a "plea" all are putting the game in the "shithouse"'

You do not need to differentiate a shoulder charge and a dangerous tackle. How many shoulder charges are innoculous based on the intent. The dangerous shoulder charge is the blindsided ones.

Vlandys has revolutionised the game, he needs to finish the job and get rid of the PC so that the game can go back to the hardness we all respect. Yes be nice to women, don't racially harass, but get back to the bloody game it was intended to be.....

  • They are killing what was a very basic game & enjoyable to watch.

Players don't decide the outcomes anymore. Penalties, theatrics and officiating do.

    • Blake Ferguson was guilty of his fair share of theatrics last night

      • It wasn't about the individual Adam it was about exploiting the rules, Blake Ferguson was the example of doing just that,

        You missed the point (again).

        • And you make no point (again). We are just as guilty as everyone else so get off your high horse .

          • You still miss it "dopey" it is not a case of "guity" it's the systematic aspects of it. Christ by your own opinion you say you don't follow the game that closely, try at least to understand it is not a whinge against parra but the officialdom of the rules via pedantic interpretations.'

PS I'm entitled to be on a high horse as much as you are!

            • So your taking the entire system to task now, a system that Blake Ferguson and the Parramatta Eels are part of. Take it as given after game day you write 15 paragraphs of ideoligical meaningless fucking dribble that has absolutely no real world relevance to anything and the moment someone questions you're so called knowledge or opinion you chuck a tanty and throw your dummy out of the cot. It's really important to you isn't it that you are seen as an authority on everything isn't it? And while I'm at it how does a trainer diagnose a compound fracture during the game? Jesus christ you are a dim wit.

              • Your a moron Adam, a compound fracture is bone sticking out through flesh!

......and if anyone just spat the dummy it is you sport!

                • It’s “you’re” not “your”, see we all make mistakes.

                  • Let's leave it at that Adam, "you're" not a bad bloke, how's that for context.

PS I cannot help it that you "don't understand, what you don't understand".

"He looks and runs like Simmo. Decent pace. Very good tackle breaking ability. If you watch his highlights, he gets line breaks in simple yardage carry's simply by busting through the middle. "

"Way I see it is this.
You tell BA this is his last season and then you search for his successor. It a process and will take some time so the longer we leave it the less time we have to filter through the applications.
