Why Waqa Blake?

Hasn't he proved that he's not up to first grade standard anymore. He has lost Parramatta so many games over the last couple years but BA still keeps picking him. I'll be glad when the end of the season comes and he's gone.

  • I agree..

Our outside back stocks are so bad, especially wingers..

Sivo is not even half of what he was before he injured his knee against the titans.

Russell is basically learning and will slowly improve.

Dunster's injury fucked up his progress and he's also gone backwards with confidence..

Penisini, Simonsson are our best 2 backs, excluding Gutho obviously.

Blake is just garbage. With his big body, he doesn't do much..

    Whose left??

    • Lumelume?

      • The fact that I forgot about him, shows just how shit our depth is in the wingers/ outside backs..

        • Cini was meant to be the next thing too, then his defence got worse as the season went on. Honestly his injury in the final trial cost him a spot in round 1, that was his chance i believe.

  • We are very light on outside backs.

  • I think Loizou will get a call up next week if he is strong again in NSW cup.

Waqa really seems totally on the outer.

Dunster is probably a 2024 consideration, hopefully he bounces back.

    Sivo is not NRL standard.

Rusty is a great versatile tough back who could be a great fill in and back up for many years.

If Simonsson can take his confidence from Centre out to the edge I think Carty could be an awesome option at Centre. On this though it really does suck that we should consider having to move Bailey at all. Wingers should be a dime a dozen. Been something we have missed for a while.

Arthur Miller-Stephen would excel once he gets his shot. Really like the look of him.

Twidle and Talagi are a few years away.

  • Why Blake? Because we don't have a better alternative. Blake was horrendous last week. However, that's just one game. He has had multiple good games on the wing. It's at centre where he has really stood out as a liability. On the wing, he has been pretty good.

He is obviously down on form and confidence right now, but he still has more to offer than Lume and Dunster.

I'd swap Russell to left side this week and put Blake on the right. Should help ice scoring opportunities and stiffen left side defence.

      • How has the cap been poorly managed?

        • Momoisea,  Murchie,  Hodgson,  Rankin  davey  waqa  all bush coaching type players Muttman

          Taking up cap space.

These players save coaches and football manager's jobs,  they can help a coach survive if there's but a few injuries can't win you comps.  Its that easy

          Its a bush coach mentality

You should have development with potential in these positions.......

          • Rankin isn't on the cap.

Every club has those types of players. You have a 30 man squad, you can't go and have 30 top of the line NRL players. Given Brad has developed a range of players from basic squad players to high level NRL players, some of those guys (Momoisea and Murchie in particular) have room to develop their skills and become good players.

"You can get an ok no.2 Hooker. Lets say 100% they went for Brailey, Starling and now Da Silva, all them are considered starting worthy. You can still get a decent back-up where Smith stays the starter."
