WHY NO SEND OFF FOR LATE HIT ON MOSES

Have they gone soft on head high tackles. The late hit by Welch on Moses was worthy of ten in the bin. Can anyone tell me why Paulo was placed on report at full time.

There seems to be one set of rules for club games and a different one for Origin.

  • They obviously wernt aware that Moses was on the paddock ( jks jks put ya pitchforks down ).  I agree if they're going to put Jr on report like an NRL game they should be consistent with ruling it like an NRL game.

  • It's people like you that are destroying league. It was lucky to get a penalty let alone a sin bin.

  • I watched the game up until around 10 minutes, nearly threw the controller at the TV as NSW was again penalised, for WHAT?  I will say this.  I will NEVER watch any game that has Sutton as the referee for the match.

Surelly there would be more 6 year olds who could do the job much fairer.  Sutton appeared to have handed out free tickets to the QLD team to allow them to whatever they wanted.

      • Mate, the current crop of Refs with a couple of exceptions are the worst I have seen in near 60 years, the NRL bosses as such are kidding themselves if their wonderful rule changes are making the game better, its almost like playing monopoly where there is a perpetual get out of jail card.

        • It's not just the refs mate it's every official accross the NRL . From the bloke calling the shots down to the pair of stuffed blouses that were on the stage last night waiting for their round of applause .  They are so out of touch with the game and it's fans it's crazy.

That pair standing up there last night would not even know who Wally Lewis was if he wasn't standing beside them with a Wally Lewis name tag .

          • In one respect I would love to go back over the game and highlight a number of areas that should have been penalised as well as being placed on report, one being not long afer half time when a high ball was put up, the NSW player took the ball and with 3 QLD players coming at him the NSW player as he was getting up, got a huge knee in his belly, very deliberate.  The touchie was in line with the incident and the ref not far off, yet no penalty, report or a set restart. Had the knee been a bit lower, would have been unpleasant.

I said above I won't watch any NRL game with Sutton as ref, no matter the team or game.  Early in the first half MM was very heavily targetted but nothing from the officials either.  Why did Ado Carr have such a poor game he I believe was responsible for at least one try by the other side.

What is is with Hunt, who in every game for his club and last night would get to the play the ball area and push the player in the back whether for his side or the other?

  • Origin has always been reffed differently

  • Has anyone else noticed that the heavy handed policing of head high's and late hits has died down from about a week or two heading into origin one.

I beleive the NRL realised that they went to hard and would have been a public relations nightmare for there biggest money maker if they had have continued being as heavy handed as they was in the first few weeks of the crack down.

    • Its been obvious Browny now since the week before first Origin game, QLD were given a free hand to do whatever they wanted and the ref's turns a blind eye.
