  • The following expenses are excluded from all clubs salary caps:

    • So if a player wanted to study veterinary science at a cost of 100k, the club could pay it and it would be exempt from the cap?

    • Thanks
  • Because he’s a CRONK that’s why.

  • What’s more interesting is the article listing several former players being the reason they were under the cap.....that’s almost funny. Lets see what happens with Pearce now that Maloney / Moylan look like swapping clubs.
  • How gullible are the media once Uncle Nick and the Rorters are involved

They make a comment that they are under the cap naming players that left at least 3 seasons ago, no no one dare question it. So they were playing with cash to spare for 3 years, and didn't upgrade any players or extend any on better deals, they certainly have the media bluffed

They can't question our club quickly enough. We know it sells media space, but spare this obvious bias, Slothfield is as guilty as any of them
    • RL mafia I call it. A group that are ‘in the know’. A select group of Journalists, former players, club execs and NRL execs. They all scratch each other’s backs and won’t say a bad word about the other. It’s sickening
    • Of course we all know that money doesn't carry over to future years, so whose contracts were renegotiated during that time?
  • That's why so many of the clubs are pushing their education pathways. Free tertiary education would be a massive enticement for heaps of the younger players.
