Why I don't like our new emblem

If the spear was raised up higher so wasnt spearing the eel in the back of the head id be fine with it( arron lukes avatar is what it should look like) the spear in the head reflects 2016 with all the back stabbing that took place at our club. It might needed to happen for us to move forward. Our logo needs to reflect on the positives not negatives. Thoughts? Also other supporters will prob laugh at it

    • Hey that kinda looks like my dog
  • Parramate ,

The logo strength is not in the aesthetics. The strength is in its 'idea' & storyline. What it stands for.

I see where you're coming from, but , I believe the logo is actually telling an opposite story than the one you see.

Its actually espousing ( getting rid of the dishonesty of recent epochs ) returning back to old fashioned values.

I'm gathering, it's paying tribute to the alleged original Barramattal Aboriginal tribe & traditional spear fishing along the Parra River, that I'm led to believe is also on the earliest emblems when we became known as the Eels.

In a way I'd say that ties in nicely with the back to the core roots Gurr has been espousing honesty, ethics & excellence. Complimenting old-school honest principles that Brad Arthur exudes.

That all sits well with me. Honouring old world principles.
    • I take your point, but it still looks shìt and we'll have to wear it on our gear. Missing the whole fashion point of view.
  • That is your dog, better check on him, Snake doesn't just take photos.
    • Aww shit I'm at work betta ring the misses lol
      • Don't worry I'm looking at her right now, I'll let her know.
  • Yeah I think it's made poorly myself it looks cheap like something that best and less would sell.
